Apparently Beyoncé has lost sixty pounds since giving birth to her daughter, while a recent article about Rod Stewart’s holiday with his wife drew admiring comments from readers about Penny Lancaster’s lack of stretch marks despite having had two children.
While we wonder at how the rich and famous manage to maintain their flawless looks, we also increase the pressure we put on ourselves to look good. And if you fail to meet the standards, it can cause considerable distress and unhappiness.
It is important to remember two things about stretch marks, however:
1. The majority of women will develop them to some extent during pregnancy
2. You can do something about them to make them less noticeable.
A combination of microdermabrasion and laser therapy can reduce the appearance of stretch marks without damaging the skin or using harmful chemicals, allowing women to hit the beach with confidence, however many babies they have had!
